Neighborhood Summit The N.S. was well Organized and Attended.

RRCO was well represented with ten neighbors attending the second city wide Neighborhood Summit. The Summit, with the theme "Collaborating For A Livable Eugene" brought together neighborhood leaders, elected officials, city staff, civic commissions and boards and over 20 non government community organizations. It was an unprecedented community convergence. The Summit's purpose was to generate ideas for new and more effective collaborations between the city, neighborhoods and wider community. There were break out sessions on sustainability, land use, public safety, traffic and transportation, infill and opportunity siting, parks and open spaces and human rights. There were also plenary sessions, mixing and mingling and visiting the many information display tables. Follow up sessions in the weeks to come will move ideas into actions.
