National Night Out - August 3 - At Greystone Townhouses, at the end of Briarcliff west off of River Road - Bring your own table service
August RRCO meeting information - August 9
September Pancake Breakfast - September 11
On August 3, the National Night Out caravan will visit the River Road neighborhood, starting at 6:00 p.m., to Celebrate Safe Communities. The Greystone Townhouses are hosting the caravan on their property. The River Road Community Organization (RRCO) is co-sponsoring the event. Attached is a flier with complete information; events will get underway a half-hour later than those stated on the flier. If you have any questions, please contact Carleen Reilly, RRCO Co-Chair, at carleenr@gmail.com.
Please attend and bring your own table service. We were unable to get the Picnic Packs from the County as we had hoped for. They were all reserved.
We are very grateful to Michael at Global Delights, who will be donating iced tea, and to Organically Grown Company for their donation of corn on the cob and watermelon for RRCO's National Night Out event.
The August 9, 7:00 p.m., RRCO meeting will consist of an Executive Board meeting and a General membership meeting. We will review some Board votes and as time allows, work on the Pancake Breakfast.
The program will be about Food Preservation and Storage: How to keep food. This will be a casual, not technical, overview of several ways to store food. More and more people are interested in taking care of more food needs closer to where they live. RRCO would like to support this movement.

RRCO is trying something new on September 11 by offering a Saturday morning Pancake Breakfast at the Annex from 9:00 to 11:00. Let's build community, one conversation after another. One volunteer and a donation has been offered, but we still need your help. Please reply to this e-mail.
RRCO usually meets the second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the River Road Annex. These are public meetings open to all our neighbors.
